Bonjour lecteurs! Looking for a secondary school can feel daunting for both children and parents. We are littéralement starting the process with Stanley, and it’s both exciting and unnerving. If you are in North London, there is a new school to be on your radar. Alleyn’s Hampstead is coming to North London this September. We visited the transitioning site in London with Stanley to see what it felt like, and I must say that I was really impressed
The Alleyn’s School Group
The Alleyn’s School Group was originally an educational charity supporting children for over 400 years. It all started in Dulwich in the 17th century. But the educational group now growing it’s community.
The school group’s reputation precedes its name. Fameux for its values-led education and academic excellence, its moving north of the river is promising.

Today, the co-ed independent school is growing its community, eager to spread its purposes and values in Hampstead, following the opening of Alleyn’s Regents Park last September.
I went to the most recent open day with Stanley, and here is what we made of it.
Alleyn’s Hampstead
First of all, we discovered more about the changes the current school is about to witness in September 2026. While we enjoyed some breakfast, we listened to the Founding Head, Aidan Sproat-Clements.

He has a clear vision of what Alleyn’s Hampstead will be. L’école is to be a space for pupils to blossom, thanks to the new curriculum. Le concept est simple: Alleyn’s wants all children to flourish thanks to good practices and become all they can be.

A True Community
What is truly impressive about Alleyn’s Hampstead is that it will be truly part of Alleyn’s School Group.
If your child were to join the new location in September, they would be part of a community that has shown excellence over the years.

During our visit, I could feel a true, clear sense of purpose and energy. The group is committed to creating un environnement where all students can grow and develop their potential.
After all, children are encouraged to be ‘All We Can Be’ and to ‘Find their thing’. Personnellement, I feel c’est très important for our children to become successful adults, whatever path they want to follow. Take the Alleyn’s Schools Group values par exemple:
Respect
Opportunity
Curiosity
Courage
Kindness

It sums up pretty well what the school wants to establish, and I feel it’s a good mix.
Academic Excellence
Not only that, but Alleyn’s Hampstead has a clear emphasis on academic excellence. That’s why both the AiQ & AEQ are part of the curriculum.

AiQ (or Alleyn’s Intelligence Quotient) focusses on responsible and effective use of AI and technology. There is not denying that in a world where AI is increasing, we need to educate future generation sensibly on this topic.
As for the AEQ, which is the Alleyn’s Emotional Quotient, part of that is about creating a wellbeing space in the school called ‘The Well’. Personal development and pastoral care are at the heart of Alleyn’s Hampstead.

As for the All In Curriculum, it will also help students flourish. Whether your children like dance, sport or drama, there will be a varied provision for them to express their passions and learn more.
A True Desire For Students To Flourish
Alleyn’s Hampstead is coming to North London to help pupils from 2 to 18 to feel confident while finding their path with ease. We saw the senior school in Hampstead. There are two more campuses in Hampstead where the Nursery and Junior school are.

Aidan Sproat-Clements, the Founding Head at Alleyn’s Hampstead, made it very clear: “The most important thing is that the children believe that who they are and what they can become genuinely matters here”.
There is a genuine desire to help children blossom and take ownership of their education.

To do this, the group has invested a lot in the London school, with improved facilities such a spanking new 6th form area and even a cafeteria, Ned’s Kitchen. Cleary, Alleyn’s Hampstead is here to change the educational landscape in North London for the best.
If you are looking for a secondary school in this area, I recommend you visit it with your child and see it for yourself. Even better, if you have younger kids, you can even see Alleyn’s campuses nearby. Both the nursery and junior school are established locations in Hampstead. So whatever age your children are, they can all be part of the same community.
Please visit Alleyn’s Hampstead for more information on all campuses.
