December 2025 – What a Wonderful World

Bonjour lecteurs! Happy New Year 2026 🥳 I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your loved ones. It might sound like a faraway memory now, but time to share my monthly highlights. The previous month had been insane with projects and work, so I really wanted to make time for my family in December 2025. We certainly did with many days out and fun activities in Kent and London. Bring it on, 2026! I hope the new year will be as exciting as last month.

Festive Activities In Kent

I kicked off December 2025 with a bang. Indeed, I attended a press event with The Ivy Canterbury Brasserie to preview their Christmas menu, and it was amazing. Pour l’occasion, I was wearing a festive Sandro dress that I just bought for Christmas. Merci Vinted for this fabulous bargain!!!

What do you think? Do you like the style? Even better, I got to catch up with my friend Faye, and we had a blast as always.

That weekend, I was actually supposed to do a Christmas wreath workshop in Deal, but I had to cancel at the last minute. So disappointing… I’ve never been to one and was looking forward to it. It will have to happen next year!

Not to worry, we still made it to Hever Castle at the weekend. It’s become une tradition annuelle and it was just beautiful as always. If you’ve never visited the childhood home of Anne Boylen, you need to add it to your diary ASAP. It’s a must-see in Kent.

Country Life

December 2025 was still quite busy with projects. I always need to work on some last-minute Christmas campaigns. So the following week was quite chill, with a morning walk before tackling deadlines.

But we went to see a Pantomime at the Sinden Theatre in Tenterden, and we had so much fun. Stanley even went on stage (eek!) and won a prize. We also caught up with our aunties for a pub lunch in the country.

Now, do you think I was a bit overdressed for the occasion? 😇 It was such a beautiful day, and I wanted to show off my party season look. But local walkers with their muddy boots on did not seem to be impressed…

As I always say, it’s better to be over-dressed than under-dressed! Don’t you agree? Plus, it’s not that often that I wear black. I usually like a bit of colour!

Glam In London

But not to worry, I could wear it again when we went to London. We stopped by the iconic London Eye to meet with Santa in our very own pod, and it was AMAZING! It just launched in 2025, and it was truly magical!

Check it out for next year, maybe. Sign in at the VIP desk (there’s also an afternoon tea experience if you fancy!) and meet Santa’s special friends in a dedicated Christmas space before you go on the famous wheel. On top of enjoying all the iconic views of London, you get to chat with him with a present at the end.

Now, I might have been a bit cheeky sitting in his chair, but it was a must!

Right after this, we went to SEA Life London for a wander around. Don’t you like observing the maritime world? I always find it so peaceful. Quick drink in the area, and we were back home after a glamorous day out in London.

Getting Ready For Christmas

The countdown to the big day was truly on, with a Christmas jumper day at school and a special lunch for him. But we also went to see him sing with his class.

I am sure it was the same feeling in your home… We had a very excited boy in the house. He could not wait to break up for the festive holidays.

En plus, making our Christmas tree increased the vibes! This year, I got some cute characters from Lights4fun to add on our porch and it looked ever cosy and festive.

How beautiful are those pieces? What was your Christmas tree theme this year? Did you do anything spécial?

The Aqua Shard

As we were close to switch off for a few days, we made it to London once more to try the festive menu at the Aqua Shard, It is one of our favourites in London and it certainly did not disappoint.

We’ve been there before, but I must say that it was particulièrement gorgeous at this time of the year.

Once our tummies were full with yummy food (and many photos later on), we also went to see The Pompeii Exhibition at Excel. It’s definitely one of my fav historical periods. It reminds me so much of my Latin classes.

If you have history lovers in the house, go and check it out. It’s super fun and interactive with 2 VR experiences and sensory movie. It’s truly beautiful and Stanley learned so much there. I am glad I took him.

A British Christmas

And just like that, Christmas was around the corner! Last year was in France, so we had a British one. I hope you had a great time.

Personnellement, I ate my weight in cheese and chocolates. But we also went for some lovely sunny walks in the country to burn all the extra calories. I was trying to get my body moving as much as possible.

But littéralement, we both turned into a couch potato for a week or so. I don’t usually binge much but I fell in love with Younger on Netflix and I loved Emily in Paris too!

On the big day, we were at my parents-in-law. Some good food and great company: la combinaison parfaite for the day, before spending Boxing Day in the country. Everyone got spoiled with beautiful presents. We got Stanley a computer so that he can play and work in his own room and we also had fun with a drone.

December 2025 – What a Wonderful World

Don’t ask me what happened after that. I was a blur, made of food and lots of lazy days! It was not easy to get back to work. Looking back at last month, I am so grateful for all the beautiful memories I created with my family.

Working freelance is always a juggling act with its doubts and worries. But I am starting 2026 feeling inspired and refreshed!

No big resolutions for me, but back to routines instead. So it’s all about daily walks, creating content and strength training. I would like to switch things a little bit on my Instagram and do more empowering posts this year. But I also want to keep exploring the UK and further. Last year, we made it to some beautiful places such as Greece, Manchester, Suffolk, Scotland, but also Spain.

I wonder what 2026 will be like for us. And truly, despite all the miserable news that you can hear about and see every single day, what a wonderful world!

Remember, your life is what you make of it, without worrying about what others think. You don’t need a ‘New You’. Just keep the old version and keep improving and learning. It’s all about atomic habits rather than huge changes.

I have learned so much in 2025 and I can’t wait to discover more this year.

Are you exciting for the year ahead? Bonne Année 2026!

Disclosure: This post might feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! This a post where I share some reflections as a mum in the country and in London. I hope it will inspire you to get on more family adventures.
