Finding The Right Nanny
Now, I have never ever used the service of a nanny, let alone a housekeeper (though I would not mind…). We’ve always managed with Grumpy Boyfriend’s family, or Stanley would simplement come with us everywhere.
Not necessarily the best choice, but I was struggling to let him with a stranger. So when the agency contacted me to test their services, I was rather intriguée.
The lovely team are expert in the area. As soon as I talked to them on the phone, they put me at ease and selected a couple of candidates to look after my dear precious.
I must say that I was impressed! As soon as I received a list of potential candidates, I realised straightaway that it was the big deal. Not your average nanny! In the end, I selected a lady living locally. With over 30 years of experience in childcare, I felt like I won the jackpot.
Now, we were still a bit anxious. After all, Stanley has never had anyone unknown looking after him. But the agency got me in touch with Sally the nanny and she sounded lovely.
Our Experience With Sally
She came around last weekend to spend some time with Stanley and I must say it was such a succés!
In her CV, Sally described herself as friendly and energetic. She surely was! She arrived on time and she was prompt to take him to the parc local for outdoor activities. Au programme, they played football, but she also encouraged him to use the equipment. A good start! Sally put Stanley at ease straightaway, and he was clearly in his élément.
Once back home, she was on hand to keep him entertained while I could get on with my work. She played LEGO with him, but also helped him do his homework.
Later, they read a book together and they certainly had a laugh with l’histoire of a naughty boy picking his boggies. Regardez Stanley! He was loving it.
Before leaving, Sally also did some playdoh with him. She was only there for a few hours, but it flew by! And I could get on with my work, which was really handy too…
