Bonjour lecteurs! If you’re planning a trip to Scotland, there are so many restaurants and bars to check out in the city. Bien sûr, les restaurants traditionnels are worth a visit. But there are several creative ways for you to enjoy a good drink and food. Here is my guide for you to wine and dine in Glasgow with style.

Tours & Masterclasses at Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery
Tennent Caledonian was founded all the way back in 1740, and is now the most popular lager in the whole of Scotland. Their Wellpark Brewery offers many cool tours and masterclasses where you can learn more about the cult beverage.
Their Taste of Scotland Tour and Masterclass gives you la chance to taste some of their best beers, gins and whiskies. Tickets cost £55 per person for 2 hours of fun.
For a more Tennent’s focused experience, you could opt for the Tennent’s Tour & Beer Masterclass, where you can get a better understanding of beer and how Tennent’s craft theirs. Tickets are £50 for a 3 hours tour.
Rooftop Views at SiSi
You’ve got to check out SiSi Rooftop Bar with its amazing views while in Glasgow. Si vous aimez Mexican food and scenery, SiSi is an absolute must-visit during your trip.
I’ve actually been to the brand in Barcelona years ago and loved it. The Scottish one rises above Merchant City with cocktails, food, and DJs.
Whatever you are after, a great cocktail or a fabulous view, this is your pick.
The Classic Curlers Rest
Curlers Rest is located on the famous Byers Road in the West End of Glasgow. With 150 years of British heritage, the building is full of history. Did you know? It was actually used as a tavern as far back as the 17th century.
If you’re travelling from overseas and have a strong interest in Scottish history and its traditional culture, you’ll be in your element when you visit this old gem.
With standard pub food, buffets, bar snacks, and sandwiches, there is something for everyone!
Sample Premium Whiskies at The Pot Still
Whether you’re by yourself or with a group of up to 25 friends, you can taste some premium whisky at The Pot Still, a Glasgow city centre pub with lots of character. You can sample up to six whiskies with a prepared tasting.
The price per person starts at £50, but you can spend more to elevate your selection. Enjoy all the best flavours for an hour and a half.
Glasgow Food and Drink Tours
There are also many food and drink tours in towns that are worth une visite. The OG West End Wander takes you through the scenic Kelvingrove Park and the University of Glasgow. So stop by and try some of the best sample haggis, scotch eggs, and scallops.
The Wee West End Wander is essentially a smaller version of the Wander, while the new Merchant City Stroll offers something très different, with a trip through Merchant City and Glasgow’s East End. It offers a similar selection of food to the other tours, but you can see more of the city.
Broaden Your Horizons
Whatever you are after in Glasgow, you will be sure to find some delicious places to stop by. I’ve only been to Scotland twice, but I would love to go back on a food tour and try all the spécialités of the area.
And on your way back, make it to Manchester to taste even more British food with a twist!
