Bonjour lecteurs!
A huge merci to all the bloggers who completed the Daddy Tag Challenge this week. It was fantastic to read your answers to our questions! It’s so nice to see that people have such a great sense of humour and don’t take it too seriously!
I had a fab week as I attended both Stylist Live and the Baby Show over the last weekends. I will post a little something about it soon I hope!
Now, off to our new guest this week, Meagan from The Mum Project. You probably know her for being the co-host of #StayClassyMama, but she also happens to have the cutest little boy ever! Her boyfriend and his dark (but funny ?) humour are landing on our blog this week! Enjoy…
Are you a Stay at Home Daddy or a Working Daddy?
I work from home 4 days a week, so I guess both 😉
Would you have it any other way?
Maybe a 3 day work week to spend more time with Bear, we could all do with less work more play in our lives.
Do you co-change dirty nappies? Even the very smelly ones?
I’m going to be crushed by the mother here, but I reckon I do more nappies, I am definitely quicker however I do shout for help sometimes when I can’t keep the little terror still.
A little fairy gives you the possibility of breastfeeding? Are you going for it or do you run away?
I would lock that little sh*t of a fairy in a box and bury him deep in the ground.
What is the one must-have item for a daddy?
Is a long list of clever excuses classed as an item? Probably not, so I will go for a seat like the Bumbo, very handy for keeping Bear close by but contained 😀
How many kids do you plan on having?
3 Hopefully.
Lads’ nights? How often do you have them?
I have just started playing sport again, just in time before I become completely sedentary! This means I have a (singular) beer after Saturday hockey and maybe a night out once every 4-6 Weeks.
Your children’s/child’s favourite achievement?
My favourite achievement of his has got to be learning to get up and down off the bed at 9 months and standing of course.
However, I believe he feels his best achievement would be screwing up the Sky box and putting the TV into a weird language and aspect ratio.
What is your best memory with your kid(s)?
The last 9 Months has been one long, tiring, great memory. I can’t pick one.
Name one thing you miss since being a daddy?
Correct Answer: Nothing dear! Real Answer: LOADS, Sleep, Freedom, Lack of responsibility, Spontaneity. Did I mention sleep? I’m so tired I cannot remember!
Would I go back to not being a Dad? Nope!
Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now? And we mean YOU DADDY, not the mummy!
2 1/2 Stone — Enough said, I am off to the gym.
Dream holiday with your kids?
Disney land where Mickey Mouse takes your child and plays with them for 2 Weeks straight, whilst Minnie Mouse sweeps me away into a world of surreal world of beds and pillows and sleeeeep. Oh and Meg is caught on a constant ride loop, something like Terror Towers.
Dream holiday without your kids or even without the other half? (You’re allowed to dream)
See above minus the child.
How has your life changed since having kids?
Yes, I can’t really explain it but life has a kind of realness to it now. My emotions have a rawness they never had, I mean, I can’t watch anything with a sick child in it anymore. I have to make an excuse and go fix something around the house.
Finish the sentence “It makes my heart melt when…”
Meg makes me a coffee without me begging.
Favourite beers brands and football team?
Camden Hells – Can’t stand football, sorry!
Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers, sometimes Huggies 😀
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes.
Best part of being a dad?
I had sex at least once in my life — and everybody knows it!
