The third post from Une photo, une histoire. How exciting! May I start saying pardon?! Baba is a bit of a show off in this one.
Yeah, you got it. The babe en action! I had to select this picture because I love so much the cool attitude he has.
It was taken last Sunday. Frenchie Mummy was well excited as la petite famille was out for the day, on a mission to have lunch in a countryside pub. I imagine you, reading these lines and thinking ‘What a strange French woman… Being so happy about a roast dinner! Crazy French people…Not only they eat snails, but now they love our dearest roast!’
Well, dear readers… I didn’t have a roast! Much better than that if I may. I enjoyed some massive burger and chips before finishing my meal with an enormous slice of pecan pie. Salivating? Would you please stop!? You are looking at my son right now and this kind of behaviour is very inapproprié! I know he is kind of delicious, but still.
The truth is Grumpy Boyfriend is working super hard at the moment. Non-stop… He gets up early in the morning, works sometimes still in his dressing gown (don’t tell him I shared that with you! He would kill me!). 10.00pm and he is far from being finished. Someone needs to make money in this house. And the good news for you is that Frenchie Mummy can write funny (or not) posts for you to read!
So you may have understood it, we don’t go out often lately. That’s why both Baba and I were very eager to go for a pub lunch. Typical British weather oblige, it was pretty cold and rainy when we left the house. Therefore, I covered up le bébé so that he didn’t get cold. I know; what a caring mum I am, right?
But then, horreur! As we were on the way, the sun came out. Miracle! And it was pretty bright as well. Frenchie Mummy had to intervene. Vite! She gets out the sublime shades and put them on Baba. He has fragile eyes. And she is rather a worrying maman…
I thought I would have a go. To me, it was pretty sure that Baba will immediately try to take them off. Too tempted to discover this new object and avid to put them in his mouth, the sunglasses should not have lived long on his nez. Mais par magie, Baba decided to leave them on. Even better, he started sucking on his pacifier. It was so funny! I wish I filmed it.
And me to take pictures ‘Click! Click!’ as he was so beau! He carried on, rolling his eyes ‘Encore des photos…Whatever!’ You know in the Simpsons’ credits, when you see Maggie sucking her dummy while on the till, right? It was just like this. My Baba was pretending to be a baby star.
Next thing you know, he will be on the cover of Jojo Maman Bébé catalogue…
Since then, the babe has practised the art of les lunettes de soleil. Look at this one when he sunbathed on our balcony while watching the nature outside (and probably thinking of his next post).
That’s it folks! Did you actually read a whole post about a French babe wearing shades? You and your obsession with cute babies… I forgive you. That’s true: il est trop beau, mon fils! ?

There is nothing cuter than a baby in shades! I managed to get a few photos of the Popple in hers before she ripped them off her face and threw them on the floor. I haven’t tried to make her wear them again – I think it’s a lost cause. #stayclassymama
? I think Baba left them on because he likes the attention. The other day we were in town and I could see people looking at him ‘look at this cute baby’.He knows it… Say the keyword ‘cute’ and you get a big smile…

Haha yes we did just read a while post about a cute baby wearing sunglasses. But mainly as I was hoping for a flash of inspiration to get my daughter to leave hers on. Sun hat, hair clips, glasses. Your name the accessory, it never stays put. The moment it does, expect to see a similar post from me out of sheer excitement

Yep baby shades. Saw them in primark and I thought I could find something better. Went to mothercare and other shops. There was nothing or it was like super expensive like £10 for baby glasses. Eventually I went back to Primark and got them for £1! Bargain and people stopping in the street saying he looked gorgeous ?? love it!

Very impressed. The 20 something pounds we spend on baby sunglasses were wasted as they never got closer to his eyes than his mouth. C’est chic! (That’s pretty much the extent of my French- you’re welcome 😀 )

How on earth does he keep those on? I bought those baby banz ones that velcro around their head and they still stayed on about 13 seconds. You have a very tolerant baby. Or maybe just really cool. #Chucklemums
