Bonjour lecteurs! My monthly highlights post is quite late. Pardon! The thing is, I was very busy trying to get all my Frenchie Christmas Giveaways live. Plus I was not feeling like reflecting on November 2019. Baba had been ill for about a week and a half and it really slowed me down with work. I lacked some sleep and I was not feeling wow… So not the best mindset to reflect on our past month!
Illness!
I usually write my monthly highlights post in chronological order, but November 2019 is différent. Indeed, Baba got really sick the last week of the month and the following 10 days were intense.
I spent most of the time worrying that he had pneumonia again. And trying to get his temperature down.
We eventually managed to get an appointment at a GP and it was a chest infection… All back to normal now. This is why this post will be shorter than usual.
The truth is that little interlude stopped all plans we made and we pretty much stayed at home watching way too much TV and playing games.
Oh, and I was probably more on Instagram while watching the Paddington Movie three times in a row 🙂
Right, now off to share with you all the good bits!
Soon It Will Be Time To Go To School…
Exit the bad news! November was also a very exciting month for us!
Oui, Baba is starting school next September and I have been visiting our local options over the last few weeks.
How exciting! I can not believe he is already at that stage! I liked many of the places in our area and I will apply for our fave school by the end of the month. So it is all done and dusted!
Step Up School
Baba is not the only one to have had some exciting news… Last month, I made it to my first ever Step Up School Meet Up and I had such a lovely time!!!
If you don’t know what it is yet, the Step Up School is a London’s top female-focused career and business coaching course I signed up earlier this year.
The founder, Alice Olins is helping you to reach your career goals. I am extremely proud to be part of her community!
I met some fabulous ladies during the night but also online. If you are looking at options or thinking to try something new in 2020, check it out! It is always worth investing in yourself!
Online Influence Awards 2019
And a few days later, I also got to attend the fabulous Online Influence Awards 2019! It was such a glam night!
I was not nominated but it was a lovely night thanks to Vuelio! I got to wear my fave Ted Baker Dress and ooh la la… I looked so French! 🙂
Another time I looked super Frenchie? When I baked some chocolate cake with Kitchen Aid! And me to pretend I was a chef in the cuisine, haha!
The Snowman
Another moment from November 2019 I want to remember is a Sunday in London with Nanny S. We went to see the Snowman at the Peacock Theatre and it was truly magical!
The production is utterly sweet with dancing, music and a magical set!
This is such a brilliant interpretation of the classique Christmas tale! I really recommend it! Baba was so happy! It is on until the start of January if you fancy booking your tickets.
We then headed to the Strand Palace for some lunch while Baba enjoyed some scones and cakes from the Afternoon Tea! What a life, eh?
November 2019 – Not An Easy Month But…
Looking back at it, November 2019 was probably one of the slowest months we had. But illness occurs and when it is the case, c’est important to pause and not stress about it.
Actually, I am lying here! I was really worried, especially when I saw that Baba was not getting better after a week or so.
But it is all behind us now and we still had some lovely moments before it happened!
One thing is for sure! I am ready for Christmas and a proper rest! Meeting deadlines while being non stop with a sick child was exhausting and I was not really good with my diet and exercise…
Merci again for reading my monthly highlights, even if this one might seem a bit dull and boring! ?
See you soon for the next one and a full recap of 2019!
Disclosure: This post may feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights (and the lows!) of the month! And a post for me to reflect and learn too!

I’m glad he’s doing better now, schools are a breeding ground for germs
I’m on flu number two this winter so far
It is such a worry when little ones are sick
Bless him! But glad he’s on the mend. Hope everyone has been given a flu jab. There is a LOT of it about at the moment and young ones are especially vulnerable. Just make the appointment and get it done – it really doesn’t hurt.
Being ill is the worst :S
Glad to hear that Baba is feeling better now – chest infections can knock it out of you as an adult, let alone a little one!

Glad your little one is feeling much better now, and hope he is looking forward to Christmas!
It’s tough when the little ones are ill, I worry when Charlie 3 is ill as when he was 1 and a half he had a chest infection and his chest collapsed whilst he was in hospital we spent Christmas 2017 in hospital. Glad your little one is feeling better
It looks like you had fun with the kitchen aid.
Glad your son is better now.
glad little man is better, looks like you had some lovely days out…very nice
Glad he’s better now. I love the polka dot dress!
There have been some truly awful viruses around this winter. I am a preschool teacher and haven’t felt really well in weeks.
I never think of November as being an easy month – nor December. We’re getting to the end of a long year and in 2019 in particular, the country has been worn down with the incessant politics of Brexit and the General Election. Everyone’s physical immunity is low – which is why colds and flu knock all and sundry off their feet, filling hospital beds to capacity. In my eyes, Autumn and Winter are the fevered times…. so roll on Spring, please, with its new beginnings all round.
I’m glad your son is better, my kids get so many bugs from school. Hope you all have a healthy Christmas
Must be so stressful when your child is sick, glad he is on the mend now!
The influencer award evening sounds great and that you had a glam night!

It’s awful when the kids are ill, you wish you could take it away from them
It’s awful when they are poorly?
I find it really difficult as our youngest struggles with his speech and doesnt know how to tell us so usually end up feeling like the worst parents when we realise what is actually wrong, we know when hes not right but he cant tell us in what way.
So much going round right now too, our school has already had to close before Christmas due to a norovirus outbreak. Glad your little one is better ?
Hope he is feeling better and you have had a wonderful Xmas

Glad you’re feeling better….hubby and I have both come down with horrendous colds over the festive season
I always find November a hard month to get through without the added problems that illness in the family brings. Hope you were all well to enjoy Christmas.
Hope he is better now bless him. And hope you had a great Christmas
Glad he is better now bless him xx
Glad your little boy is feeling better x
Love the kitchen Aid
Glad he is back on the mend!best ofnluck that you get the first school of choice!
‘I was not really good with my diet and exercise…’ It doesn’t matter over Christmas and New Year. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and that you start afresh in the New Year.
Bless, hope your Christmas was magical
Re-reading your column reminds me that November was pretty much a wash-out health wise for me too. A chronic chest infection is refusing to clear, despite antibiotics and steriods being thrown at it, and last month it turned into laryginitis. I lost my voice for a full four weeks and although I can now speak again, I still don’t really feel 100% right!
Sounds like a tough month! But I must say that that wall of mixers looks fab! I hope December is better for you.
Hate it when my LG is poorly nothing worse when you feel so helpless
So glad he’s feeling better and exciting time starting school
hope all is well now, unfortunatly bugs spread like wildfire around school
