Bonjour lecteurs! I know what you think. ‘Baba is so elegant on Frenchie Mummy’s Instagram…’ It is true that I like dressing him up and make him look like un trésor. After all, what maman doesn’t want their little one to be gorgeous? But you probably wonder what it is like to be casual in the Frenchie house, right? Well, when we are home, both Baba and moi like being comfy and warm but stylish again! And to do so, we have recently discovered a fab label from Scandinavia. Baba Fashionista with Moccis will tell you all about looking cool even when you are at home! And the best news, you can actually win a pair of Moccis worth £23! Enjoy!
3 Facts about Moccis
- Moccis was founded by Anna Wetterlin, a maman from Sweden. Like most mums, she has active children who love to run, climb, and play. And, like all children, they also slip and fall down, kick off and rip holes in their socks and slippers, complain their feet are hot and uncomfortable. So that’s why she created Moccis.
- Those colourful products were created as Anna used to wear mocassins as a girl growing up in Sweden. It’s a traditional footwear there. Hybrid of a sock and slipper in one, they had a soft leather sole that prevented her from slipping and falling down. She also loved how soft and comfy they were. Not able to find any for her own children that look really cool, she decided to make her own and that’s how the label started! We love nothing better than supporting a mum entrepreneur on the blog!
- Plus the label’s designs are trendy, fun, and colourful. It’s not une surprise that celebrities like Victoria Beckham love them! I might be a bit superficial but thinking that I am wearing the same products like la fameuse Posh Spice really makes me feel special, pas vous?
And it’s even better as both Baba and I received our own pair! I am so contente to get some cute items for moi too! For once…
PENGY BRR Moccis
Let’s start with Baba. The brand offers many cool designs so it was quite difficile to select one. This cute version of the hand-sewn mocassins is so playful for the Winter.
Those unisex Moccis are made in Sweden of natural ecotex certified materials. If you read more posts from our fashion series, you will know that j’aime nothing better than sustainable brands.
Pourquoi pas being trendy with a good conscience?
No doubt that the bright colour and the fun design are my fave features, but I also like the finishing touches. Made by hand with a very good quality material, the leather sole is very flexible.
It is a great detail as it allows Baba’s feet to move freely and his muscle to develop. I read a study not so long ago that showed that people tend to put shoes too early on babies. Apparently, it has been proved that soles too hard can have a negative impact on little one’s development! So Moccis is perfect in that case!
Plus the mocassin is fitting nicely without squeezing too much his legs. He is very comfy and the sole stop him from slipping over.
While I was tentée for a moment to go for a matching pair so that we can both look cute with Baba, I eventually decided to order those Lagom Moccis. It is one of Moccis new EXCLUSIVE Scandi Collection designs. The print looks both stylish and luxurious. Plus in black and white, I am sure it will go with any of my outfits!
Having tried them for a couple of days now, I can’t believe how comfy they feel! I love putting them on at home instead of slippers. They are way warmer.
Plus they machine washable (so I know they will stay fresh!) and podiatrist approved! Hurrah! J’adore Moccis!
