Ikiki Shoes
The super famous children’s footwear brand is about to launch some super cute shoes in the UK. Ikiki Shoes are already huge in the US. Celebs such as Bradley Cooper have been seen with their kids wearing them.
Specially designed for little feet (the range is available in sizes 3-9), those squeaky shoes that are also adjustable are super cool!
Once available in the country, there will be six characters to choose from:
- Duchess Bubblegum Sparkles (Unicorn)
- Princess Sakura (Panda)
- Dr Owlivia Hoot (Owl)
- Captain Zuga (Pirate)
- Mr Barkles (Dog)
- Leo Longfire (Dragon)
Each model is super sweet and hard to resist when you have a fashionista like Baba in the house! Not only the names are super adorable but the colours are bright and funky too!
We received a pair of Mr Barkles and here is for you our thoughts.
Ikiki Shoes – First Impressions
As soon as our Ikiki Shoes arrived, both Baba and I were very excited. Because this colourful brand is officially available in the UK only in a few days, I loved getting samples to test before everyone else!!!
Easy to put on too with their single-strap design (it works well for narrow and wide feet and it is so easy to use for first walkers!), they also felt super light so that Baba was comfy in them.
Baba wanted them on as soon as he saw the cute design. Since then, it has been a struggle to get his ‘doggy shoes’ off him 🙂 Not only he loves the sweet characters but I think the cool feature is that they squeak when he walks with them!
Yes, you are not dreaming! The shoes include a squeaker that encourages heel-to-toe walking.
Squeaky Shoes…
The dream for any little one aged 1-5! How cool is it to have some squeaky shoes! I reckon it is another raison why Baba doesn’t want to leave them!
Conceived to encourage our little ones to heel-toe walk, those shoes could be useful if your little one is starting to walk!
Indeed, kids can sometimes get into the habit of toe walking. They place their toe first on the floor and it looks like they are tiptoeing.
Because of this fun sound in the heel, Ikiki Shoes help your little one get good walking habits by putting their heel first down.
That You Can Turn Off Too!
But not to worry if you don’t want to have a constant noise! There is an off switch on each shoe. The patented design has a one of a kind double chamber squeaker so that it can be turned on and off easily.
So Ikiki Shoes are really good to help children walking as they have fun, but they are never a nuisance if you have enough!
The other good thing? I can keep an eye (well an ear really!) on Baba when we are out and about! Thanks to the squeaky shoes, I can locate him easily at the park!
Plus, I must admit we love the attention we get with those!
Comfy Shoes
Overall, I would say that Ikiki Shoes are super cool but also very comfy!
For me, a sign that Baba is at ease when he wears them is that he never wants to take them off! A winning situation for me!
The Ikiki Shoes we received also give him a great fit! Thanks to the adjustable single strap at the front those shoes are easy to put on.
En plus, it also makes them a good fit for both narrow and chubby little feet. So great shoes for pre-walkers!
And because they are spacious too, it would also fit children with ankle-foot orthosis /splints/braces/insoles.
Vegan Aussi!!
They are truly fab! And at a retail price of £25.95, they are not too expensive at all! And if like many others you follow a vegan lifestyle, those are made for you! Indeed, they don’t contain any animal products and are 100% vegan-friendly!
Ikiki Shoes – Le Verdict
We are so in love with our Ikiki Shoes! Not only they are super cool with funky colour and designs, but they are also really comfortable. I know that my Baba’s feet are well maintained and he is at ease.
To me, that is super important because we have many adventures and I want him to feel good. The last thing you want is them to not have fun because of what they wear!
My little fashionista wants to have his Ikiki Shoes on all day long! He loves the sweet dogs on them and bien sûr, he absolutely adores the noise when he walks! I can tell you that I witnessed many catwalks in the house just because of those fancy shoes!
