3 Facts about Black Lake Clothing

  • Black Lake Clothing is a small London based company specialising in organic, handmade apparel for children aged from 0 to 4 years old. It was founded by Agata Brennan in 2017. Two things I already love? It’s a local business and I am super proud to support a mum entrepreneur! En plus, Agata is making super cute organic outfits! A great start, right? Black Lake Clothing is a pretty new label and I am super happy to present it exclusively for you! I am sure you will see it more around in the future!

  • The company is named after the founder’s son Blake, which in old Irish means “Black Lake”. I find it so cute when a kids’ fashion label is so personal! Check out the brand’s website. Agata’s adorable son is also modelling for the brand. Watch out for cute pictures!

  • Agata studied photography and when she had her bébé, she felt inspired and decided to create her brand. She worked with some amazing graphic designers and together, they created some colourful patterns. The brand strives to create products that are beautiful, ethical and durable but also very comfortable and easy to wear for active children. I think it pretty much ticks all the boxes that any maman is after!

Black Lake Clothing has a large choice of garments: hats, headbands, mittens, scarves and much more! We received 3 pairs of leggings to write this review. Ready to read our Baba Fashionista with Black Lake Clothing? C’est parti!

Mint Leaves ORGANIC Child & Baby Leggings

The first pair we received has a very original print on. Ethically made with some quality organic jersey with non-toxic water based ink prints, this outfit is fabulous because it’s so soft and the design is just gorgeous.

So comfy, he is always on the move!

I paired it up with a top in the same colours and I must say that I really liked this ensemble. The print is unisex and the texture of the leggings is soft as silk.

You also have an adorable label at the bottom of the leg with the name of the brand.

Showing you the frog position LOL

The garment is quite stretch, so I reckon we will keep it for quite a long time and make the most of it! Super!

Mint Animals ORGANIC Child & Baby Leggings

These leggings offer the same features as described above. Once more, this piece of clothes is soft and easy to wash. It’s great as you don’t have to iron it! You know me and how little I like chores or any housework!

Are you still taking pictures of me?!

Plus the material is very light, so parfait for the season!

Baba was obviously very comfortable in these leggings, so much indeed that he decided to show you his moves in the next picture 🙂

He loves these leggings! Maman too 🙂

The print, made of a Forest theme is very sweet! I love the deer and the fox on it! Yet again, super item for either a boy or a girl!

Unicorns and Rainbows ORGANIC Child & Baby Leggings

Now, what do you think about these ones? Are unicorns a massive no-no for a boy in your opinion? Those creatures are everywhere and I really wanted Baba to be part of the cool gang and get an item with them!

I don’t think it’s too girly and these leggings are as cute as the others we described before.

Actually, they are my fave out of the three. They are so easy to dress Baba with and those colours are just magnifiques! I am so in love. Well, a bit jalouse too if I am being totally honest because I would love to wear this kind of prints myself!

Captived while watching cartoons

I mean, how can you not love that!?

Watch out! Cute bum alert! And oui, I am super proud to put a picture of my son’s bottom because these leggings are just so fabulous! It’s like these unicorns are playing with us!

That’s it! I am off for an adventure on the balcony!

Baba Fashionista with Black Lake Clothing – Le verdict

When you buy clothes for your little ones, what are you looking for? Personnellement, I want it to be made of good quality, easy to take care of and with fun and colourful prints. Mais not only! Buying durable and ethically made garments is also une priorité while I want Baba to be super comfy.

And quite frankly, I can now say that Black Lake Clothing is offering all these qualités! I really like the three leggings we received to write this post. The three items are equally beautifully made. What did I prefer? The prints! They are all so adorable and quirky! I love when mon bébé is simply different!

We both love attention, so it’s great to have found a label that offers unusual clothes! To be at the top of the game, you need to stand out and I think that is what Black Lake Clothing is doing very well without compromising on the quality. Bravo!

It’s fab, it’s fun, it’s parfait pour le Frenchie bébé! Hurrah!
