Bonjour lecteurs! Have you ever visited Camber Sands? It’s a fameuse plage on the South-East coast. We used to go there at least once a year as Londoners. Now that we are in Kent, it’s even easier to go down for an impromptu day at the beach! I recently discovered Cloud Cabin, a stylish retreat only 2 min walks from the dunes! Fancy une visite?
Cloud Cabin In Camber Sands
Cabin Cloud is originally a 40-year-old semi-detached built in Camber Sands.
Nicola, the owner refurbished it and turned it into a quirky rental house on the coast.
On the ground floor, you will find a kitchen, a living room, and a spacious dinning-room with its imposing table.
Go upstairs, and you have 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.
Cloud Cabin can fit seven people for now. But you will get la possibilité to have up to 10 guests from next year.
Our Arrival At Cloud Cabin
Cloud Cabin is not your usual semi-detached on the coast. Situated in a cul de sac, its location might be one of the assets, but not only!
The entire place has been redecorated for a modern quirky look. The pictures talk for themselves.
And with such harmony! The modern touches mix well with the vintage bits.
Le plus? We were welcomed with a basket containing some yummy local food. I believe it all came from the Salts Farm Shop nearby.
We stopped by on the way home and bought fresh eggs, milk, and more… Don’t miss it!
The Atmosphere
Cloud Cabin is so pretty! I fell in love with the pink sofa, while Stanley was ready to do some drawing on the large table in the dining area.
With all the soft lights and the quirky frames, it was quite a show!
The house is full of cute little touches. I must say it has a very feminine atmosphere.
Yet, it works!
With 3 sofas downstairs and no TV! Hurrah! L’excuse parfaite to unplug and just enjoy a good book!
Once it gets dark, we got cosy, playing cards and just enjoying each other’s company. Stanley brought beaucoup de jouets to entertain himself 😉
Rooms
You have 2 main bedrooms upstairs. Encore, they are both well decorated with gorgeous details.
I personally like la chambre rose. With its golden palm tree decoration and the big pink chair, it was quite something.
Grumpy was not keen on sleeping in this one, so we stayed in the other room with a dark grey scheme colour.
With the vintage wardrobe, the rugs, or even the stall, it was very pretty too.
Both adults’ rooms are of good size and you have plenty of storage for your clothes.
The third chambre is obviously the kids’ option with its bunk bed and quirky books. Stanley loved it straight away.
The Bathroom
Are you a pink lover? I did a survey on my Instagram and 83% of you said that a salle de bains rose is a total hit!
I LOVED the bathroom with its colour tiles.
It was just parfait with a large bath and a spacious shower. With the golden decorations and plants, it was just right!
Le Jardin
If you fancy an eco-friendly stay, then Cloud Cabin is your place! Indeed, all power in the house comes from wind and solar-generated electricity.
Overall, you can see that the house is very family-friendly. And once it gets dark, you get to enjoy the lights in the garden.
You also have it all for you to relax in the summer with two tables outdoors and a BBQ.
The subtropical garden with its palm trees and bamboos fit the holiday mood!
I got up early to enjoy a coffee outside and it was really lovely.
Beach Days
Obviously, le détail top is that Cloud Cabin is right next to the beach. We love a jour à la plage!
We even enjoyed some fireworks there as we stayed during the Guy Fawkes’ weekend.
There is also a bike if you fancy an adventure and want to go further.
Or if like us, you also like a bit of country charm, you can stop by Rye. Stanley loves the play area and we certainly had some délicieuse food at the Union Rye.
We even enjoyed a very windy walk one evening. Impossible to miss such a sunset!
Cloud Cabin In Camber Sands – Le Verdict
Cloud Cabin In Camber Sands is a very charming house if you fancy a seaside break in East Sussex.
Enjoy Camber Sands’ coastal charm among vintage pieces. Relax with your family in a cosy space. You’ve truly got it all!
We even enjoyed the vintage stereo downstairs with a bit of jazz and wine.
We truly had a lovely time, and we certainly enjoyed the local produce. Grumpy enjoyed the beers!
And Stanley said it was, I quote ‘a very cool villa‘. You’ve got it all to enjoy a peaceful UK staycation.
Just one little thing if you book it with young children. The yellow inner front door lock is playing up. So be careful!
The space is great, the house is stunningly decorated. See all the videos on my Instagram!

With ‘staycations’ becoming popular due to Covid, there’s nothing we Brits like more than a trip to the seaside! Always good to take a look at possible places to stay – and this comes up trumps!
