A Family Stay At The Nhow London

Bonjour lecteurs! You know it by now, I love my life in Kent. But I am equally in my element when we are in London… So it was very exciting for us to stay at the very picturesque Nhow London. We checked out the colourful hotel to celebrate Grumpy Boyfriend’s birthday at the end of March. And the hotel decorated in ‘punk meets high-tech’ vibes certainly did not disappoint! If you are looking for a cool hotel to stay in London, it should definitely be on your list next…

The Nhow London

The Nhow London is located in the thriving area between Hoxton, Islington, and Shoreditch.

If you plan to party uptown and you are looking for a quirky location, this is your place.

The hotel is a pop of colours in a very trendy area and just a few minutes walk from Old Street.

Our Arrival

After a short commute from Saint Pancras International, we made it to the Nhow London Hotel.

And the tone was set as soon as we arrived. Indeed, the lobby is a burst of colour with Big Ben literally going into space.

Such a great start for Stanley! He was surely excited about it.

Designed by the architecture and interiors studio, Project Orange, the hotel is full of surprises. It’s like being on a movie set.

Once checked in, we made it to our suite’s floor. Walk along the dark corridor with multicolour doors et voilà!

It felt like I was in a Stanley Kubrick movie or something alike.

Our Frenchie Suite

Our room was as exciting as the lounge. We actually got a suite for more family space.

We absolutely loved the light in the room via the glass windows. It felt so contemporary and luminous.

As we walked in, we had a little living room space with some wine and chocolates welcoming us.

The sofa could turn into a bed. While the main bedroom was decorated with a mix of pop/punk royalty items.

Mon détail préférée? The mix of traditional colours with des touches plus modernes. The Nhow London is truly playful for your eyes.

The Bathroom

La salle de bains adjacent to our bed was equally sumptuous. With a painting inspired by Renaissance Art. For a cheeky twist.

You even had a peephole to see through the bathroom!

This time around, I fell in love with the dark green tiles mixed with the luxurious bathtub.

When you stay at the Nhow London, you truly feel like you are a princesse or even a queen. Every little détails are here to remind you so with crowns on the cushions, towels etc.

Le plus? You can even open the curtain to unveil London. Stanley certainly found it funny to be able to have a peak into the bathroom while in the corridor.

Facilities & Atmosphere

The whole hotel is based on this punk / royal concept so that your stay is never ever boring! It’s truly bold and bright.

Food at Nhow London

We also enjoyed some dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. The place reminded me of Spanish restaurants with its bold colours and decor. Now, it’s a totally different place.

Le restaurant follows the same concept with some cool and hype vibes.

Surprisingly, it was rather quiet. But we still made the most of it with a set of burgers for him and me.

While Stanley ordered the cheesiest pizza ever.

Les desserts were certainly colourful too! I don’t want to even think about the calories. But we went back to our room satisfied and really full.

This is so weird. In that last photo of Stanley, you can probably see a high rise council flat on City Road. Well behind that is another tall flat and that was were I lived throughout my whole childhood and teenage years. I am so familiar with that area. I actually watched the nhow hotel get built, haha. Looks like a great hotel. So unique
