C’est parfait for busy mums who don’t have much time to choose what to wear in the morning. Think simple and monochrome bits, but also staples like comfy knitwear, jeans and versatile women’s dresses.
This way, you can quickly curate an outfit suitable for any occasion without having to spend too much time on it. If there is a brand or a style that I love, I tend to buy from their website again and again. Par exemple, if you find a jumper that you love, buy it in different colours, especially if it works well with your shape. This way, getting dressed becomes easier.
Effortless Outfits For Every Occasion
I also like to get transitional pieces. They are so handy to have and you can wear them from one season to another. My fav? A trench or a beige jacket as they always do the trick.
Many mums go from the school run straight to the office, so you need clothes which can do both.
Smart casual is the way forward here, with jeans being paired with smarter elements like a structured blazer. Alternatively, you could pair a beautiful dress with a cardigan for warmth and style. You could keep a smarter jacket in your car or at the office, so you always have a dressier option in a pinch.
Finish With Accessories
To finir en beauté, pair the right accessories et voilà! I might be super casual most days as I work from home. But I love a bright accessory like sparkly earrings to brighten up my outfit.
If you have younger children, dangling pendant necklaces or earrings may be a bit of risk though. But you can always opt for a smaller, delicate chain with a single diamond or a pair of diamond studs. It looks très élégant without overdoing it. J’adore wearing pearls; it always makes me feel so chic.
Don’t forget the big staple: a big bag to store all that you need. I absolutely LOVE a tote bag. They look très chic and are so helpful for carrying all that you need: sunglasses, a laptop, kids’ toys and snacks.
