Bonjour lecteurs! It was a while back, but how was half-term for you? This year, Stanley was out of school for only a week. Hurrah! It means that I could work more in October 2025. And boy, did I go for it! I was recently listening to a podcast with Victoria Beckham, and something she said stuck with me: “Dream Big, Dream Even Bigger”. Following her recent Netflix documentary, she revealed that she is not afraid to say she is ambitious. J’adore ça. Too often, mums are put in a position where they have to put their goals aside to look after their children. It goes beyond our careers, and it makes me so sad. We should always have la possibilité to have it all. We should not choose, and that’s what my new monthly highlights are all about.

A Slow Start
October 2025 might not have started with a bang, but I still took daily actions towards my dreams. Sometimes, life est simple (even a bit boring), but that does not mean you don’t achieve anything.

You’re still doing your reps, you are building this dream life of yours, whatever it looks like. It was all about work, seeing him at the Harvest Festival, enjoy nature in Autumn et voilà!
Party Gal
The following week got a bit more exciting as we went on a wine tour in Kent and it was just délicieux! Think yummy local food, a walk among some beautiful Kentish vineyards and lots of wine bien sûr!

This is my kind of weekends! En plus, I love exploring new places. The world is your oyster. It does not necessarily mean that you have to go on the other end of the world. We discovered some beautiful locations that are littéralement around the corner from us and that was still magical!
But you know me! London is always calling and the Aqua Group 25th Anniversary Party at the Shard was a blast! I came up to London, walked around Selfridges and Bond Street, caught up with a friend and partied all night.

I came home tired but happy. London will always be my happy place, especially with good food and music from The White Lotus. Now, that was a treat!

Back To Work
But October 2025 was not all about fun in London. I had many deadlines with work and I had to turn them around quick! It was hectic, non-stop, but so much fun.

I am always happier when I am busy and I have new projects. Otherwise, I get easily bored. Well, October 2025 served me well on this side.
Half-term Fun in London
And just like that, half-term was around the corner! So we went for a little escapade to London.
Direction Bloomsbury where I used to go to l’université when I was training as a teacher. It brought up so many memories. But we had such a lovely time, staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton London in the West End. It was magique!

We made it to the British Museum and discovered more about the Ancient Greece as well as the Egyptians. But we also played hard at Sixes Fitzrovia. It’s actually funny because I remember passing this cool place a few years ago, thinking we should check it out. Maybe I manifested it?

Either way, we had a go at cricket and we tried some yummy food.
Windsor & Legoland
The following week, we also made it to Windsor and LEGOLAND!!!!

Now, that was so epic. I might have been ill a few days before, but I still made it in one piece.

I am so glad we still did it. It’s such a beautiful part of the UK. The swans, the river, the town…Everything was beautiful!
Plus, we stayed at LEGOLAND Windsor Castle Hotel.

A real dream comes true for us. We’ve been to the park before, but staying at the hotel was such an amazing opportunité.

We made the most of our mini break and enjoyed 2 days of fun at the park. Have you ever visited? It’s so good. Check out their Black Friday Offers. They have some real good deals for a fabulous family day out.

Kent & London
But it was not long before we had to go back to réalité. Au programme, back to school for him and more work for me.
We still managed a beautiful experience at the Cinnamon Club in Westminster. It was quite something. If you like fine Indian cuisine, it’ truly spécial.

We also made it to Birchington for a project with Stagecoach and the route 8. It’s such a cute spot with lots of vintage shops and beautiful country villages on the way. We stopped in Canterbury for a cheeky croissant, so that was pretty cool too.

The following week, Stanley went on his first residential and survived it. Grumpy Boyfriend and I also loved the peace… A shame we did not make the most of it as we worked like crazy, but still. Everyone was happy and that’s all that matters.

I went to see Tina Turner the Musical, which was amazing too! And just like that, October 2025 was over.

October 2025 – Dream Big, Dream Even Bigger
What a month! I could not catch a breath, but I would not have it any other way. I look back at 2025 so far and I realise how much progress I made in all aspects of my life.
October 2025 was a turning point with work. Over the last 6 months, I have been more spiritual and it really helped me being focused and live a life on purpose. I’ve had clearer directions and it really helped me reach my goals.

If anything, last month is the proof that you create your own opportunities. It’s all about resilience and believing in yourself. Don’t get me wrong, we also have our challenges and hurdles along the way. My life is far from being perfect and there have been times when I miserably failed. But every time, I got back up and pushed forward.

One of my biggest fears is to not moving forward in life and staying stagnant. I want to keep learning and improve myself. Sometimes, it might feel like it is taking too long. But it’s worth a shot.
So never stop yourself and apologise for being ambitious. You deserve it. “Dream Big, Dream Even Bigger”. You’ve got this.
Disclosure: This post might feature some sponsored content I recently published but it is merely a list of my highlights of the month! This a post where I share some reflections as a mum in the country and in London. I hope it will inspire you to live your best life.
