LIVING ARROWS 5/52

Another week has passed by and it was a special one for us this time. Baba turned 1 year old! ? Tuesday was his birthday and le fameux Baba has been spoilt rotten! For our  Living Arrows 5/52, I planned to use a pic of that day, but I found another shot that I think is worth sharing with you. Just him, watching cartoons yesterday. I love the way he is looking at the camera. He looks so pensive and serious.

To be honest, he was not himself yesterday! He had a cold. The night before had been difficult for everyone. Baba was very uncomfortable in his sleep and both Grumpy Boyfriend and I woke up a couple of times. Later on, Baba started having a very high temperature and got sick. We ended up at the hospital in the evening as the temperature was not getting down. Yep! Another night at the A & E for us!  Eventually, the doctor let us go home, but we still have to monitor his temperature today. We will probably have to cancel his birthday party planned for today as well…

It sucks! When am I ever going to share good news on my Living Arrows posts?! Yesterday at the hospital was difficult. I could not restrain myself from feeling guilty. Here was the flow of my thoughts:

  • Baba got a virus at the nursery
  • It’s going to be like that quite often from now on
  • But he is only 1 year old and he is still small  for such a long day (he stays about 9 hours there)
  • Why do we have to take him to nursery?
  • That’s your fault Frenchie! You are back at work so it’s all your fault!
  • If you didn’t t work, he would be safe at home with you.
  • No naughty bugs would get him every week or so!
  • Exhausted now, we have been at the hospital for more than 3 hours and he is not getting any better
  • Let’s blame it on Grumpy Boyfriend! ‘That’s your fault if Baba is fragile like this! That’s your bad genes!’
  • Thank god for that, we are back home! Le’s have a glass of wine!

Exhausted, la Frenchie maman collapsed on the sofa, drank some wine and ate some rubbish food that Grumpy Boyfriend cooked with whatever they had in the fridge. ‘This weekend sucks!

No need to say that la Frenchie is in a bad mood. Therefore, her Living Arrow post is just a massive rant. Apologies if you had to read this, chers lecteurs. But I feel better now!

I go through cycles of thought like that too, you’re not alone! It’s not your fault at all though and it sounds like that glass of wine was well deserved. I hope he’s feeling better now.

Yey, Baba’s now one! Poor little soul for feeling so rubbish on his birthday, though. I definitely blame nursery, they catch everything going. It really does help to get it all out the way though. I’m glad it wasn’t anything too serious in the end. These babies don’t have worry us! #LivingArrows

Poor Baba! That’s not a good way to spend your first birthday. My friend has been at A&E again tonight with her baby and been told it’s viral – again!

Sometimes you just got to let it out, Cecile. Baby will survive and will not judge you. My advice would be to keep blaming everything on Grumpy boyfriend so Baby knows who to blame if he does feel the need!

    xx
