Living Arrows 2/52 – Baba gets a haircut

Bonjour lecteurs! I hope you had a good weekend and you are prêt for Living Arrows 2/52! This week is totally exclusive as we show you a big moment in our life! Oui, Baba went to the hairdresser last week! Hurrah! He is now officially looking like a little boy and not a girl!

When they call him ‘she’…

Personally, I absolutely loved Baba’s curls. He has a very nice blond hair like I used to have. But when people keep telling you ‘She is so cute!!!’ even though your little one wears boys’ stuff, I say ‘Houston, we have a problem!’

I did not mind that much, vraiment. If anything, it was making me laugh. I was even thinking of letting Baba’s hair get longer and he would have had a ponytail. Like Romeo Beckham when he was super small. He would have looked super fashionable if anything, right?

But one day, le drame! Grumpy Boyfriend came back home from the park with Baba and he was all stressed out. ‘Can you believe that 3 people thought he was a girl?!’ And le boyfriend to be totally mad as Baba was seen as a boy.

The end of the world for Grumpy Boyfriend! Literally!

So la Frenchie Maman had to intervene and make the difficult decision to go to the hairdresser.

Baba being himself, he decided that he should have a word in the matter. If you want my opinion, I don’t think he was 100% in agreement with all this business but we did it.

Baba was not 100% sure about that…

Sat him on the fab chair (looking like a car, clever hairdressers those days! They know how to get kids on their side!), made silly faces, stayed close just in case…

Frenchie Mummy gave him un pain au lait and he was better

Baba was not totalement sûr that this person had the best intentions in town. The look he gave him 🙂

That’s my son!

Baba realises he is actually looking super cute. ‘Let’s do it!’

In the end, he also had some extra food to keep him occupied and the hairdresser gave him a lollipop.

And parce que I was still shocked at how grown up he looked, I got him some new toys from Disney Store. I reckon at the end of the day, I was the saddest about it all…

This little man is my Baba!La maman is sobbing…

Thanks for reading Living Arrows 2/52. How can I make up a story about a little haircut? Well, that’s the beauty of blogging and having such a cute Baba in my house 🙂

And if you have some great tips to keep les enfants occupied at the hairdresser, I would listen to you with a lot of gratitude! I am not sure I am ready for our next trip to the hairdresser encore!

Oh this is so cute! The first hair cut is such a big thing. I cried when I got home from work and my husband had cut my twins hair as a surprise just before their first birthday. We got to a bit of an old school barbers shop but they have a TV to play CBeebies to keep the kids still. #Living Arrows

Oh no! I don’t know how some people can be so silly when he is obviously a boy with curls or not!! Although I am loving his new haircut. I have been putting off getting Kippers done but I am starting to feel the pressure!! #Livingarrows
